Series Description
This month, we are taking our preschoolers on an exciting journey to the moon and back as we teach them that God made everything. We want our preschoolers to know that this beautiful world they live in was created by our loving, creative, and powerful God. All God had to do was say it, and it was! Wow!
So, what did God do after He made everything? “God saw everything he had made. And it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31 NIrV) Then, God rested. And that is what we hope to do this month with our preschoolers. Look at everything God made. See that it is very good. And then rest in knowing that our God is powerful and creative and beautiful, and He loves us to the moon and back.

Week 1 (August 3)
Light & Dark/Sky Above Water
Light and Dark/Sky Above Water | Genesis 1:3-8
In the beginning, there was nothing—just darkness. But then, God said, “Let there be light,” and there was! God made the light and called it “day,” and He called the darkness “night.” The next day, God made the big, beautiful sky above the water. Now when we see the light or look up at the sky, we can remember: God made that! God made everything!
Week 2 (August 10)
Land, Plants, and Seas
Land, Plants, and Seas | Genesis 1:9-13
On day three, God made the land, the seas, and all the plants! He gathered the waters so the land could appear, and then He made flowers, trees, bushes, and grass grow. From the tallest mountain to the tiniest leaf, God made it all! Everywhere we look, we can see something beautiful—and remember: God made that! God made everything!
Week 3 (August 17)
Sun, Moon, and Stars
Sun, Moon, and Stars | Genesis 1:14-19
God made something very special on day four. He made the sun to shine during the day, the moon to glow at night, and the stars to twinkle in the sky! The sun helps flowers grow, and the moon lights up the dark. God filled the sky with beautiful lights that we can see every day and night. When we look up, we can remember: God made that! God made everything!
Week 4 (August 24)
Sea Animals and Birds
Sea Animals and Birds | Genesis 1:20-23
On day five, God filled the seas with swimming creatures and the skies with flying birds! From tiny fish to giant whales, from singing robins to swooping eagles, God made them all! God’s creativity is amazing, and when we see a swimming dolphin or a flying bird, we can remember: God made that! God made everything!
Week 5 (August 31)
Land Animals & People/God Rested
Land Animals and People/ God Rested | Genesis 1:24-2:3
On day six, God made all the animals that live on land—like lions, elephants, and puppies too! But then, God did something even more special. God made people in His image and gave them life. God looked at everything He made and said it was very good. On day seven, God rested. We can look at everything around us and remember: God made that! God made everything!
